After 4 km the narrow lane turns into a two-way road. Stick to this road for another kilometre. At km 5 the road does a hair-pin bend to the left and there is a narrow track in front of you. You need this track which you will follow until you come to the hamlet of La Cotariella. There is a steep clime just before you reach the houses.

Stay on the 232 for 700 meters at which point you will need to cross the road and take a path turning back on yourself. This path is part of the Covadonga Pilgrim’s Way. After 700 meters you will see a tiny shrine with the path you need to the right, you will soon pass a cattle shed on your right and you know you are on the right path.
After 6 or 700 meters you come to another hamlet, this is Borines.
